For two single parents with bruised hearts, it’ll take more than a little courage to get back on the horse when it comes to love.

Kimberly Welch lost her husband to a heart attack in the blink of an eye. But she’s losing her daughter slowly, in the day-to-day tension. In three difficult years, Kimberly has gone from Seattle socialite to Kings Meadow charity case, and her daughter is not responding well to the changes. She’s becoming a sullen, cantankerous teen.

Chet Leonard lost his teenage son in a car accident. Then his wife abandoned him and their two remaining boys. He tries to keep his mind on the family ranch, but if the last two years have taught him anything, it’s that sometimes you just have to let the memories hurt. Let the memories hurt, and leave well enough alone.

But when Chet volunteers to help tame Kimberly’s daughter’s horse, everyone gets more than they bargained for . . . especially when eighty-four-year-old Anna McKenna shows up.

Nana Anna has reappeared in Kings Meadow after decades away, bringing with her the magnetism and transformative joy that come from a life well lived . . . just the kind of magic that a couple of unlucky-in-love single parents need to conjure up a little courage and raise a new family from the ashes of tragedy.
I was very excited when I found out that Robin Lee Hatcher was going back to King's Meadow in her latest story, Love Without End. It was a beautiful setting in A Promise Kept.

Just like in A Promise Kept, Love Without End was a story within a story. Present and past and a connection that links the the two together. In this book, Anna is the link as you get to know her in the present, then visit her youth during WW2. Through these two era's you are able to see the things that have remained the same and the parts that have changed. I love these type of stories. They each offer so much to the book as a whole.

With Robin's writing, she brings realistic struggles that you can connect with and understand in her characters. I have to say, I connected to Kimberly and her struggle in this story. She is a single mom who is faced with the unknown...and that is scary. Her financial situation isn't at it's best and she has to rely on friends for help. For her, that is hard to do. Then their is the fact her daughter is a teenager and with all of the sudden changes, they have gotten to her and have altered her attitude. I could understand Kimberly's fears and the hurts she faced in her life.

Chet, we were introduced to in the first book in the series, and it was nice to get to know him and his family better here. He has a burden to carry and it ways on him, but he does his best with what he has and he has a faith he relies on. And despite his desires to keep to himself, he puts himself out there to help people when he can. Chet is just one of those good guys.

Reading about Chet and Kimberly and Anna was a delight. I'm so glad Robin has turned this into a series and I can't wait to see more of Kings Meadow.

*I will make one small note about the book that doesn't have anything to do with the story. I don't know if I had an unfinished copy of not, but there were some notations in the margins of the story throughout the book, and I believe that letter from the author was placed in the wrong spot. It told you the outcome before you had even started to read the book (mind you, I don't mind that, since I like to snoop.) Those were just a couple of things I noticed, but didn't affect my thought on the story in the slightest.
