For 2 weeks this summer, I was on the road and it was amazing!We drove
and drove and drove, but when we stopped, we got to see so many
wonderful places. I thought it would be fun for the next few weeks to
share about the places we visited and the books that matched up with the
these places.
On this crazy whirl wind trip, some places we got to visit for several days, while others it was a quick pit-stop. Newport, RI was a mix of the two. We had plans to visit, but hey, life and it didn't go as planned. We got to spend a long afternoon in Newport. Sadly, I didn't get to buy any souvenirs, but I did get to see some really cool things. And I finally got to see the ocean for the first time in my life. That was really awesome!
It was a cute beach town with a lot of history behind it! It was busy when we went, but it wasn't chaotic, which was nice. The building were just so different for me to see. I loved all the shops. I loved just walking around the downtown area.
We tried to tour the Mansions, but when we got there, we only would have had 30 minutes....it wasn't enough time, so we checked out the Cliff Walk. I'm not a fan of heights, but it was breath taking so see the views.
I would love to go back to see Newport again, hopefully one of these days I can.

This is a book I haven't read yet, but has been on my TBR shelf for a while. It is set in Newport, RI. I interestingly enough haven't seen many books set in this town. If you know of some, please let me know.
The buildings around Newport were just so neat! I loved seeing all the old mixed with the new. The beach town feel was amazing!
This is the view of The Breakers from the Cliff Walk. It was massive!
The trees surrounding one of the mansions....goodness! It was huge and beautiful. You could turn this tree in to your own personal fort.
The views along the Cliff Walk of the ocean was just phenomenal! These were my first views of the ocean. It was breathtaking!
Next week, I will have another stop on this awesome trip.
