Bookish Quotes

When you read, you’re bound to stumble across quotes that just stick.

I have so many bookmarked on Goodreads — and that’s not even counting the ones I find online or the random gems that pop up while I’m reading. Fiction, non-fiction… even history books can deliver some epic lines. (Bonus points if it’s a historical roast. 😏🔥)

But today isn’t about the “ultimate mic-drop” quotes — although some of them could be. Today is all about the bookish quotes you love, the ones that make you nod, laugh, or just pause mid-page.

Here are some of my favorites, in no particular order. 📚✨

Your turn — what quotes have made you stop mid-page, laugh out loud, or just think, “Yep, this belongs on my wall”? Don’t hold out on me — I want to see your best ones!

Books for Armchair Travelers

I love to travel — tasting the local food, exploring the shops, and soaking up every new sight. There’s something magical about experiencing a place for the first time, seeing things you never could have imagined… until that very moment.

But I also know there are places I may never visit in my lifetime. And you know what? That’s okay. Because books let me travel there anyway. 🌍✨ I adore authors who have seen the world and bring those experiences to life, or who’ve done their homework to create rich, believable places for us to explore — all from the comfort of my couch, blanket, and maybe a cup of tea.

I love reading about places I’ve been, but I also love discovering places I haven’t. Maybe one day I’ll visit them for real… but for now, I’ll happily explore them in story form, page by page.

If you want to travel around Europe on a Grand tour during the early nineteen hundreds, this series will take you everywhere. The story is fantastic and the characters are good. I've enjoyed these series so much, I've reread it several times.

I've read A Cross Country Christmas and it is super cute. I know that the sequel is just as sweet as the first book and this series takes you on a road trip from California to the Midwest with a lot of stops along the way. It can make you laugh and touches the heart.

The stars at night, are big and bright :clap, clap, clap, clap: deep in the heart of Texas!
I had to share this one. Born and raised here and I absolutely loved this series. It was just a fantastically sweet, real, and emotional rollercoaster of a series that follows siblings in a family. This can be read all together or as a stand-a-lone book.

by Dani Pettrey

This series follows siblings who reside in the massive state of Alaska. If you've never been, this series is good on touching base on a lot of different locations and special features of the state. I enjoyed this series. Contemporary, mystery/suspense/ romance all rolled into one thrilling tale. They can be read together or by themselves.

So, fellow armchair travelers — what destinations have your books taken you to lately? Share your picks, and let’s go exploring without even leaving the couch! 😉📖

Red, White & Pink Covers

This week is a Valentine Freebie.
Instead of featuring a a strictly romance/ romantacy genre, it's very easy to gravitate to that, I thought it would be fun to spotlight books with the colors of the day, then there can be a wide verity to feature. But don't worry, there are romances featured, because you really can't get around that this time of year.
Without further ado, here are some books that have the Valentine Color scheme.

Mortal Queens by Victoria McCombs
Every Bride Needs a Groom by Janice Thompson
The Proposal by Becky Wade

Scythe by Neal Shusterman
In Search of  Prince by Toni Shiloh
Veiled in Smoke by Jocelyn Green

Lizzy & Jane by Katherine Reay
Lethal Kings by Victoria McCombs
Until the Dawn by Elizabeth Camden

A Heart Adrift by Laura Frantz
Behind the Scenes by Jen Turano
Sweet on You by Becky Wade

What theme for the week did you pick?
Do you have any books you like to read around Valentines?

This is a fun prompt. There are so many books that are eye catching these days. Colors, font, pictures, style, genre, it all plays a apart.

I know they say don't judge a book by its cover, well.....it's hard not to do.
