Top Ten New-To-Me Authors I Read In 2013
1. Jody Hedlund
I had heard so many fantastic things about Jody's books and as soon as I dove into The Doctor's Lady, I saw that they were all true. I read all of her books this year.
I'm a huge fan of Once Upon a Time. When I saw that there was a series of books out with a new twist on the classic fairy tales I was intrigued. I enjoyed them all!
The first book I read, Into the Whirlwind had me hooked. The writing style was different, as was the layout for the story. It was fresh and kept me guessing.
I found the River of Time Series and devoured it, then I moved on to The Grand Tour Series. Both were fantastic! I have a couple of her other books sitting on my TBR right now ready to read.
5. Melissa Tagg
Melissa is not only a new to me author, but also a debut author. Her first book was hilarious and so much fun, but with a heartfelt story.
Katherine is another debut author I learned about this year. Dear Mr. Knightley was phenomenal. I can't wait to read more!
7. Dani Pettrey
I was never one for contemporary fiction, but that changed with the Alaskan Courage Series. Humor, suspense, mystery...It has it all!
8. Mesu Andrews
I love Biblical fiction. Mesu Andrews provided a new thought into these stories that are so well known, but didn't take away from their original message.
9. Jen Turano
The humor! Oh, my. I haven't laughed this much reading a book in a while. The ideas of the story brought me in, but the humor had me hooked.
10. Lori Benton
Lori is another debut author I found this year. The detail to the time and history with the drama in the story just grab you and didn't let go.
These are the authors who I have discovered this year and I'm so glad I did! I look forward to reading more by them!
