Review:
Jody Hedlund has done a phenomenal job with this YA series! It is fun, has adventure, appropriate romance, and some fantastic characters that pop off the pages.

This series has been great! Starting off with an Uncertain Choice, then moving into A Daring Sacrifice, and now closing out with For Love and Honor. I love how they all tied together, but they could all stand alone.

I really enjoyed Sabine. She was a great strong character, who also knew how to your her sass and spunk. This story starts off with a robbery, and she wasn't going to stand for it. She let her opinion known. The rest of the story kept going from there. Sabine, used her inner strength for many things, but she was also a wonderful charter in that during her time, she was considered flawed by people, due to a birth mark. Everyone has something that has made with a blemish, but not everyone can see it, but there are people that it can be seen on, and it is about how it is handled.

We also got to see Sit Bennet again. He was one of the three knights from An Uncertain Choice. These guys have been fun and have all offered characteristics that could be characterized as swoon worthy.

Sabine and Bennett were a strong couple and they played well with their strengths, but also were a balance for their weakness.

It has been a fun medieval adventure with this series, and I can't wait to see what Jody Hedlund does next! She is an author who has an amazing gift. I'm so glad she wrote a series for YA.

Review:
Can I just start off by saying, how gorgeous the cover is! Oh, my! It looks like a movie cover. It grabs the attention for all the right reasons.

Now, on to the story. I fell in love with The Dandelion Field last year. It was one of my most favorite stories of the year. It was left in a way where I thought it was a standalone book, and I hoped that there would be more. Thankfully there is!

The Hearts We Mend is such a fantastic addition to the series. This book focuses on Evie, Cody's mom from TDF. When we met her in the first book, she had been hit with a lot and came off a bit cold and closed off. It was hard to warm up to her, but by the end of TDF, I liked her and understood where she was coming from. In The Hearts We Mend, we dive all the way into who Evie is and what her life is like and how it gets thrown into disarray when Jack comes into her life.

Jack and Evie are opposite of each other, but also in a way very similar. There story was good and kept you reading and wanting to find out more! Jack I thought was a lot of fun and I thought the interactions between him and Evie were good.

This was a fantastic read!

Review:
I have been hearing many wonderful things about Tamera Alexander's books for quite a while, so much so, I've gone out and have bought many of them! Sadly though, I haven't had the opportunity to read any of them until recently, when the opportunity to read To Win Her Favor came about.

The detail, the history, and the beautiful story telling all come together in this book. Tamera has an amazing talent for story telling and it shines through these pages! Her character development of Maggie and Cullen is wonderful. They are very real and deal with with many things, but they do their best and rely on their faith.

I've always been a big fan of Gone with the Wind. To Win Her Favor is similar to topics brought up in the book (the movie is drastically different by the way), and the way that Tamera Alexander presented it is hard and brutal, but it is truth. The prejudices after the war was high. It was a hard time and this book showed it. But the story wasn't all about that, it was also a sweet love story, and horse story! This book had a rich background. It brought everything in an intertwined them well.

I can't wait to read the other books now in this series, this was a fabulous tale to get lost in!

Review:
I'm new to reading books by Terri Blackstock. I was introduced to her stories last year and I regret having not found them sooner. I jumped into the Moonlighters series in the middle, with book two, Distortion. Even though this is a series and they play off of each other, they still work if you jump in anywhere (thank goodness!).

Twisted Innocence like Distortion is a fast paced ride. When you think you have an answer or you know where the story is going...nope, you're thrown for a U-turn and the chase is on again to figure things out. Same goes for characters. Right when you think you have some on figured out, you don't another layer is brought up and the depth of the story continues, changing your thoughts on that person.

Not only was this a story of suspense, it was also a story of redemption. Holly is the youngest of the Cramer kids. Unlike the rest of her siblings, she didn't grow up in a happy home. She grew up in a home full of hurt and betrayal. She didn't have a solid foundation and she went her own way in the world. After having a one night stand, she is pregnant and by herself. She does the responsible thing. She does what she can to provide for her and her baby, in doing so, she drives a Taxi and works part time as a private eye. Holly shows how much she has grown since the beginning of this series. She is the girl that proves, what is on the outside doesn't count, it is what is on the inside. It is with the change that happened within her, that allows her to help others on a far deeper level.

I loved reading about Holly and also about the rest of her family. I thought this story was a great way to close out the series. It was a race to the finish line for sure, goodness!

Synopsis:
You better believe when I received an Uncertain Choice in the mail, I dove into in pretty short order. Right from the start, the story transports you back in to medieval times. The time of public tortures, rampant disease, and dashing knights...which all play into this story, and loved to see! The middle/dark ages is such a fantastic back drop to work with.

This was a fun story. There is also a bit of a back story, you can find it in The Vow. It is a short prequel to this book. Rosemarie has lived with only one thought to how her life was going to be lived for four years and that is changed over night. I have to say, the change brought three very handsome, smart, and talented knights to her door, so it wasn't a bad change at all, in my opinion.

An Uncertain Choice had a fantastic mix of romance, mystery, history, chivalry, and gorgeous clothes and jewels. It all played off of each other added such a fantastic depth to the plot. The story was one, that also never stopped. I was hard pressed to set the book down.

I can not wait for the next book in the series, especially after being left with such a question! I will leave that to you to find out.

This was a book that was hard to put down. It had raw emotions flowing through the whole story and it kept pushing you to see what decisions were going to be made. It had a very real story line that is being played out in almost every city in US. You may even know someone who is dealing with the tough decisions faced.

Ginevieve is a woman who has had a long and hard road in her thirty six years. She has dealt with more then some do in their whole life. And for half of her life, she's been on her own, raising her daughter, who she loves more then anything. She is a young mom, who is proud that her daughter has done so well in school and is looking forward to her going to college. Having lived the life she did, when her daughter announces she is pregnant, she doesn't hesitate to support and love her daughter and be there for her. She does everything opposite to how her mother treated her. Gin's strength and determination is just beautiful to see.

Raine is a young girl, who has been dragged pillar to post in her mom's gypsy lifestyle. She demanded that for her senior year, that she finish in one school. She is an innocent girl who would love to have friends and fit in. However, the doubts she has is heartbreaking. Cody is her rock of a friend and a great show that not all boys are creeps. However, a mistake is made and they have to step up and be responsible and handle everything together.

I have to say, I give major props to Cody. He is an awesome kid.

Now Dan...I loved his character. He is the epitome of what a bookish hero is. He is a guy who really is kind of pushed into the center of this new family's troubles, even though he isn't related by blood. Instead of running, he jumps in with both feet and offers support to everyone. As the story progresses and he and Gin get to know each other, you just root for him more and wish that the Dan's of life were easier to find!

I enjoyed this story a lot. I was kind of sad to see it end in all honesty. With the ending, I was left wondering over some things...and quietly hoping that there is a possibility of revisiting Banister Falls.

Review:
My apologies! I was supposed to post this review on the 11th, but alas, I goofed up the dates. I'm am sorry about that.

Secrets, scandals, lies, these are just the tip of the iceberg in Distortion. Juliet Cole thought she had the perfect family and the picture perfect life. That is until her husband was gunned down in front of her. Even before her husband was laid in the ground, his secret life starts to expose itself. From here, Distortion takes you on a journey with so many twists and turns. It will leaving you questioning, "Who can be trusted?"

Every chapter brought a new discovery to the story. I just ached for Juliet as she tries to morn her husband, even as new details about him surface and the secret life he lived, and still try to be there for her grieving sons. Juliet was an amazing character. Even though she would love to crawl into a hole and let all of these things pass her by, Juliet presses on because she knows it is what is right and it will keep her sons safe.

I had a hard time putting this story down. The characters were all wonderful. Each offered their own strengths to the story. No one character carried it and it was enjoyable to watch this mystery unfold from different perspectives, as new insights was brought in. I can't wait to see where these characters go from here.

In their travels Silver and Jared face many obstacles that they had to figure out to overcome. Dealing with either personal, past, and physical injuries. Each obstacle offered a learning moment for the characters that allowed the reader deeper into their lives.

This story is a little different than previous books I've read by Robin Lee Hatcher, and that isn't a bad thing at all! This was a thrilling tale of of finding a path to forgiveness and healing for both of these characters, all set in the back drop of the wonderful wild west. How can you go wrong with the gorgeousness of the western frontier...you can't!
