Today is Good Friday, but two thousand years ago, it was a dark, dark day. Now, it is a day of hope and of remembering of a promise fulfilled. Jesus died on the cross so many years ago and unlike what we know, the disciples and Jesus' followers didn't really get is that Sunday is a coming.
Jesus gave it all out of love for us. And what an amazing gift he has given.
There have been a couple of points that have just stuck in my mind since I heard them a couple of years ago.
Saturday is the day between tragedy and redemption.
Saturday is the chasm between hopelessness and victory.
What a difference a day makes. To go from mourning to celebration! Such a powerful gift.
