Top Ten Books I Wish Could Have Had Sequels

Let's see how well I do...I read a lot of series.

1. Gone with the Wind By Margaret Mitchell
I know there are other books out there by other authors, but that isn't the same. I wish, Margaret Mitchell hadn't left instructions for the unpublished parts to be burned. Even unfinished, I would have loved to read some more.

2. Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling
Yes, I know that this is a full series already, but I(and most everyone else) would love for it to continue.

3. Stealing the Preacher by Karen Witemeyer
Granted Crockett is a character from another story (Short-Straw Bride), but I enjoyed his and Joanna's story. I would love to see more of them.

4. Into the Whirlwind by Elizabeth Camden
This story was set during the time of the Great Chicago Fire. It was a time I haven't read about and it was really enjoyable.

5.Cleopatra's Daughter by Michelle Moran
The story was interesting and the characters were great and it delved into the world of Augustus Caesar. I wish there would have been a sequel so that we could have followed Selene in to her new life. The epilogue was good to have, but I wanted more.

6. The River of Time by Lisa T. Bergren
Yes, there is one more book coming out soon, but it's such a fun series! I would be happy with a spin off on just Luca and Lia!

7. The Hunger Games by Suzanna Collins
I would like one more book! The ending was good, but I would like it to carry one just a little more.

8. The Rocky Mountain Legacy by Kristen Heitzmann
I would love to see how Abbey and Cole turned out with their family and how their kids grew up and what they became.

9. The Austin/Stoner Files by Stephen Bly
One of my favorite series out there. I love it! I would have loved for this series to keep on going. It was neat that Stephen Bly put out a poem that wrapped everything up. You got a little closure to the series.

10. Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen
Who wouldn't want more Mr. Darcy?!

This week has proven to be really difficult! I had to throw in a few series I wish that would continue. I have read so many series and not a whole lot of stand alones.

What are the books/series you wish could continue?

  1. Good idea! I like it. I'm sorry you had a difficult week though.. truly. Believing God that it will get better for you.

If I had to chose, I'd go with: Five Days in Skye (Carla Laureano), The Breath of Dawn (Kristen Heitzmann), To Whisper Her Name (Tamera Alexander), Wishing on Willows (Katie Ganshert), The Doctor's Lady (Jody Hedlund) and more!

Hmmm. Now there's an idea for a blog post. Thanks for sharing, Katie!

  3. Thanks Ganise! That is nice of you! Thankfully, it isn't difficult in that way, just this weeks Top Ten discussion. Sorry for the confusion.

I'm getting ready to start The Doctor's Lady, can't wait to see how it is!
