Title: Waterfall
Author: Lisa T. Bergren
Publisher: David C Cook
Pages: 369
ISBN: 978-1-4347-6433-1
Synopsis: Most American teenagers
want a vacation in Italy, but the Betarrini sisters have spent every
summer of their lives among the romantic hills with their archaeologist
parents. Stuck among the rubble of the medieval castles in rural
Tuscany, on yet another hot, dusty archaeological site, Gabi and Lia are
bored out of their minds...until Gabi places her hand atop a handprint
in an ancient tomb and finds herself in fourteenth-century Italy. And
worse yet, in the middle of a fierce battle between knights of two
opposing forces.
Suddenly Gabi's summer in Italy is much, much more interesting.
Since this is the first in the series and their are people who want to read it, I will keep this short and sweet so I won't spoil anything.
I have been hearing wonderful things about Waterfall all over the internet and I had to check it out. I'm glad I did! The raving reviews are spot on. Waterfall is a fun book to read. There is a lot of action, adventure, and chivalrous guys (you can't go wrong there!). The pace of the book is steady and keeps you wanting to read more, it was hard to put down to go to bed. There is history and detailed descriptions of everything that is going on around the characters, but it doesn't bombard you while you read, it gives you a better insight to the area and keeps you moving forward.
Gabi is a great female lead. She is strong, independent, and loves her family. She doesn't quiet understand why she and her sister traveled back in time, but Gabi quickly learns her way around and does her best to help others around her, all while trying to find her younger sister Lia, since they were separated in their travels. Gabi's main concern is to find her sister and then to get back, but with the help of two knights from a castle where she was transported, getting back becomes a little more complicated when her emotions become involved leading her towards one of the knights.
I liked how strong each of the character's were in this book.Gabi and Lia each have their own speacil skills and they use them to the best of their ability.
If you want a fun book to read on vacation, I would add this to the list.
Too Read!

Thanks for the nice review! I used to have this book and just read a couple chapters before I had to return it. Your review reminded me of it and the series it's in. I'll jot down the title to see if I can get it again. Happy reading! (following you on GFC and bloglovin--I like the looks of your blog).
