Mini Challenge 1:
Hosted by: Better Read than Dead

You're in a bookstore and you've just purchased 5 books you've been dying to read, when the apocalypse hits. (Zombie, Demons, Vampires, Dean Winchester vs. Sam Winchester (yes, I'm watching Supernatural reruns) I don't care what apocalypse). You've got one chance at survival, what 2 books do you take and what 3 other items do you take?

Hmmm, this is an interesting question. If the Apocalypse has hit, I would make sure that the 2 books that I picked are thick books. If I'm not going to have any other entertainment, I want them to be full stories. So...I would say Song of War by Cliff Graham as my first choice. The previous stories were insperational and full of possible battle tactics that might be needed later on, so two for one!. Then I would choose, Stealing the Preacher by Karen Witemeyer. It has had great reviews and I think a nice light read would be needed amongst all the carnage.

Hopefully when it hit, I was wearing a good pair of running shoes and my jeans. And I hope my family and animals are ok. I would then try to team up with them and friends. It's safer in numbers. Now, the 3 items I would take I would make sure I had flashlights and batteries (I count that as one), a weapon, either a knife or a gun and a lot of bullets so I can protect myself and my family and hunt for food, and finally a water bottle full of water. I would have it all stuffed in a sturdy backpack for easy transportation.

Mini Challenge 2:
Hosted by: IB Book Blogging

Make your dream guy using characteristics, personalities, looks, and anything else you can think of from your favorite book boyfriends.

This will be fun!

Ok, He would have the body and accent of Jamie Fraser from Outlander by Diana Gaboldon. The hair and personality of Luca from Waterfall by Lisa T. Bergren. And the elegance of Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. He would have the common sense of Cole Jasper from Honor's Reward by Kristen Heitzmann. He would have the faith of Job from Love Amid the Ashes by Mesu Andrews. He would have the perseverance of Silas Ballantyne from Love's Reckoning by Laura Frantz.
